Your EV Battery Lifecycle

Year 0 – Purchase

Brand New EV — You’re Covered

Manufacturer warranty in full effect. Battery performance is at its peak. No out-of-pocket exposure.

Years 3–5

Manufacturer Warranty Expires

Factory coverage ends. Battery capacity begins noticeable degradation. Replacement costs loom — up to $22,000.

Years 6–10

Highest Risk Window — Unprotected

Without coverage, a single battery failure means a $10,000–$22,000 out-of-pocket expense with no safety net.

With EV Battery Shield

Seamless Protection Continues

Our warranty picks up exactly where the manufacturer leaves off — 4 more years or 50,000 miles of full coverage.

Why It Matters

When Your Manufacturer’s
Warranty Ends, You’re Exposed

The Gap Most EV Owners Miss

Manufacturer warranties typically expire at 3–5 years, but the most costly battery failures happen between years 6–10. That’s a multi-year gap of zero coverage right when you need it most.

EV Battery Shield Fills That Gap

Battery repairs can cost thousands once your factory coverage expires. EV Battery Shield provides trusted protection for 4 years or 50,000 miles after your manufacturer’s warranty ends — so you’re covered when it matters most.

FAQ

Common Questions

When does my coverage begin?
Coverage begins after your manufacturer’s warranty period ends. If you purchase EV Battery Shield while still under factory coverage, your plan activates automatically when that coverage expires — ensuring zero gap.
What does the warranty actually cover?
Coverage includes battery failure due to manufacturer defects and performance degradation beyond normal wear. Specific terms, conditions, and exclusions are outlined in the Vehicle Service Agreement provided at sign-up.
Can I cancel my monthly plan anytime?
Yes. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time without penalty. One-time payment plans provide full-term coverage for the duration of the agreement.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell my EV?
Yes! The warranty is fully transferable to the new owner. This is one of the biggest selling points — it makes your EV more attractive and valuable in the pre-owned market, often commanding a higher resale price.
Does my EV need to be new to qualify?
No. EV Battery Shield is available for both new and pre-owned electric vehicles. Coverage is subject to a review of your vehicle’s current battery status and age. Contact us to confirm eligibility for your specific vehicle.
What if my manufacturer warranty still covers an issue?
If you’re still within your manufacturer warranty period, you must first file a claim with the manufacturer and be denied before filing with EV Battery Shield. Most battery issues occur outside the factory window — which is exactly why we exist.
Which repair shops can I use?
You can visit any licensed repair facility or EV-certified technician across the country. We have a nationwide service network, so you’re never far from coverage — no matter where you are.
Why should I get covered now if my car is new?
Smart EV owners plan ahead. Manufacturer warranties expire before major battery issues typically surface. Locking in coverage early ensures seamless protection through the most vulnerable years of your battery’s lifecycle.
